Cookies!

Here, by request, is my (a.k.a. Bon Appetit's) recipe for Sugar-Topped Molasses Spice Cookies. They are the best cookies I have ever eaten in my entire life. And I don't really like sweets, so that, my friend, is saying something.

When the recipe calls for a "pinch" of black pepper, do not be shy with it. Put in a rather largeish pinch. Or two. It adds something completely unworldly to the cookies and causes the flavor to linger for an eternity. And this is a flavor you want to have stick around!
