I think if I posted them all, it would not only take me all day, but also scare the crap out of the Snitch editors...

I know there are lots of you on my flist, and I didn't want you to miss a really cool opportunity. The role of Percy has come up for recasting at road_ahead and we'd love to have a new one as soon as we can!

The game is set post-DH (it's now July 1999 in-game, and the year anniversary of the Battle at Hogwarts was two months ago). All the younger characters are now out of school and have taken their NEWTs. It's a period of transition for a lot of the characters, regardless of age. Students have finished school and are figuring out their future (careers, housing, what to do now that they're teetering on the edge of adulthood), and adults are gaining new co-workers and neighbors. The world is still dealing with the rebuilding after a war. Instead of homes and businesses, they're working on tolerance and acceptance, education and commerce. There are those who still object and easily believe anything the Prophet says, which Dolores Umbridge takes advantage of as she tries to stir up dislike towards Minister Shacklebolt and his Ministry. There are those who support change and are campaigning for a better world, who support Fleur Weasley's Association for Magical Equality and Diversity. Then there are those who are in-between who are forming opinions and finding their place in a post-war world. Voldemort might have died ten months ago, but the world is still recovering and growing as people keep moving forward.

It is SO MUCH FUN. It'd be wonderful if we could regain an active Percy! His family and his friends will definitely miss him if he's quiet for too long.

I can't believe I neglected to rec the awesome fic that celandineb wrote for me for daily_deviant's Kinky Kristmas 2008! It's a brilliant Percy/Harry piece called Walk Together and Cel completely indulged me and included heaps of the little details that make me love this pairing so much, and it's adorable and sweet and just fantastic. Go, read, give love!

So, I've gotten out of the habit of reading much fic lately, and I've never been very good about doing recs of things I love, but there's no way I can let this fic go by without begging you all to read it.

It's The Fisher King (Percy/Moody, NC-17) which florahart was lucky enough to receive in the Yule Balls exchange. Please don't be put off by the pairing--both Percy and Moody are amazing, fully rounded characters here and yes, it's certainly strange thinking of Moody as someone who could be loved, but he is, and this mystery author does a phenomenal job of showing how it happens. I'm doing my best to be coherent and mature and non-flaily here because this story deserves so much better than flail, but I fear I'm failing at that attempt. But it's just heartwrenching. And it ties into canon which is just, oh, so amazing! Do give it a chance. I promise you'll be grateful!

Good lord, when will Chris Rankin stop being a total douche? His interviews are always completely ridiculous, and yet I always read them. I don't even understand why--he's not my Percy and he always says horrid things about the character. Bah. I can't forget the interview before DH came out where he described Percy as "sleazy and slimy" or something quite close to that. Now, I know I am an unapologetic Percy fangirl, but slimy? Not for a moment. Just a little deluded.

I love this little fic (really, more of an Anthony Goldstein character manifesto) more than I probably should, but I didn't exactly expect anyone to read it, because of the rare pairing, non-smuttiness, and subject matter. Only...people did! I'm so happy.

Will have to repost it at the fic comm in a day or two, but I've been aching to reveal this one (as if it weren't apparent already) and so I just had to squee!
